Internal Dashboards & Reporting

See the numbers that matter without building reports by hand.

We build private dashboards that bring figures from spreadsheets and business software into one clear place, so your team can track performance, spot problems and receive reports automatically.

Typical first version

4-10 weeks

Data sources

One or many

Access

Set for each team

What do you need to see?

Put the questions your team asks every week into one dashboard.

Choose the figures that help people make decisions. The dashboard can show the whole business or a single team, branch, product or process.

How much did we sell this week?Which jobs are late?Which branch is below target?Which invoices are still unpaid?Where are leads being lost?Which stock is running low?

Project options

Start with one report or bring reporting together across the business.

Source access, data quality, calculations, update frequency and the number of staff groups have the greatest effect on scope and timeline.

4-6 weeks

Single-source dashboard

For turning one prepared spreadsheet, database or business system into a clear dashboard.

  • One data source
  • One main dashboard
  • Date filters
  • Simple downloads
  • Secure staff sign-in if needed
6-10 weeksMost common

Connected business dashboard

For bringing figures from several systems together and replacing a repeated management report.

  • Several data sources
  • Data cleanup and agreed calculations
  • Several dashboard views
  • Team-based access
  • Scheduled reports and alerts
10-18+ weeks

Internal reporting platform

For larger reporting needs across departments, branches or staff roles.

  • Different team views
  • Detailed filters and records
  • Historical data import
  • Automatic source updates
  • Rollout and training

Timelines are indicative. We confirm the delivery range after reviewing sample data, current reports and access to each source.

From source to dashboard

Bring the figures together, clean them and calculate them the same way every time.

A dashboard is only as useful as the information behind it. We inspect the current sources before deciding what can update automatically.

01

Collect

Bring together the files and systems that hold the figures.

02

Clean

Find duplicates, missing values, mismatched names and inconsistent dates.

03

Calculate

Agree exactly how revenue, margin, completion and other figures are worked out.

04

Show and send

Display the dashboard, prepare downloads and send reports on schedule.

Common information sources

SpreadsheetsAccounting softwareSales systemsOnline storesBooking toolsDatabasesExisting staff software

Update frequency

Not every source can update instantly

Updates may be instant, hourly, daily or manual depending on what each source allows. The dashboard will show when figures were last updated and when a connection fails.

A clear example

Replace a monthly reporting scramble with one repeatable process.

Before

The report is rebuilt by hand

  • Download figures from several systems
  • Fix columns and date formats by hand
  • Copy totals into a reporting spreadsheet
  • Rebuild the same PDF or presentation
  • Check which version of each figure is correct

After

The dashboard prepares the report

  • Sources update on an agreed schedule
  • The same calculations are used every time
  • Managers see the latest available figures in one place
  • Reports are prepared and sent automatically
  • Failed updates and missing data are clearly shown
Trust and access

Make every figure clear, checkable and visible to the right people.

A polished chart is not useful if nobody trusts how the number was calculated. Important figures are defined, checked and tied back to a known source.

Know where the number came from

  • A written definition for each important figure
  • The source used for each figure
  • The time each source last updated
  • Warnings for missing or unexpected data
  • Tests against reports you already trust
  • A record of agreed calculation changes where needed

Give each team the right view

  • Directors can see company-wide figures
  • Finance can see sensitive costs and revenue
  • Branch managers can see their own location
  • Departments can see the work they own
  • Staff access can change with their role
  • Restricted figures stay hidden from other teams

Available when required

Filter by date, branch, product or owner
Compare performance with targets
Open the records behind a total
Download spreadsheet or PDF reports
Email reports on a schedule
Alert staff when an agreed limit is crossed

Features are selected and scoped for each project. They are not all included automatically in every dashboard.

Delivery timeline

Agree the numbers before designing the charts.

Some stages overlap. Data cleanup can take longer when old reports disagree, fields are missing or a source is difficult to access.
